An unfinished basement is often the largest unused space in a home. Finishing it can add a family room, home theater, guest suite, bathroom, bar or workshop, usually for less than building an addition, because the foundation, walls and roof are already there.
Morgan Remodel plans the space around how your family will actually use it, then handles framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, flooring and finishes. Our free Basement Remodel Guide helps you decide what to include, and our basement remodel pricing page shows typical budgets.
Clearing out old finishes or a partial build-out so your new space starts on a clean, solid base.
Finishing a basement, adding a bathroom or creating a bedroom usually requires a permit. We handle the permits and inspections, including egress requirements for bedrooms.
Below-grade floors need materials that handle moisture. Luxury vinyl plank is the most popular choice, with carpet, engineered flooring and tile also available.
Built-in shelving, bars, fireplace surrounds, staircase updates and new rooms like a bedroom, office or theater.
Recessed lighting, plenty of outlets, TV and speaker wiring for a theater, and power for a bar or workshop.
Adding a full or half bathroom, a wet bar, a kitchenette or a utility sink.
Framing new walls and rooms, then hanging and finishing drywall for clean walls and ceilings.
Walls, ceilings and trim painted to make a below-grade space feel bright and welcoming.
A new stair railing that makes the trip downstairs feel like part of the finished home.
Most basement remodels take 2–4 weeks once construction starts, depending on the scope of work. If your project needs a permit, add 3–4 weeks depending on your municipality.
Usually, yes. Finishing a basement, adding a bathroom or creating a bedroom typically requires a permit. We handle the paperwork and inspections, and we’ll make sure any bedroom has a code-compliant egress window.
We look for signs of water before we finish anything. Leaks or moisture problems need to be fixed first, and we choose flooring and materials that are suited to below-grade spaces.
In most homes, yes. The cost depends on where your existing plumbing is. If the new bathroom sits below your main sewer line, it may need a pump to carry waste up and out.
Usually. Because the foundation, walls and roof already exist, finishing a basement typically costs less per square foot than building an addition. See our basement remodel pricing page for typical ranges.

Jon and his crew were such a pleasure to work with. We had never done this before, and the nervousness we felt was put at ease. Jon’s attention to detail and timely appointments were so helpful. The communication was excellent. If we ever had a question, Jon would return our call quickly. I plan on using Morgan Remodeling for future projects.Posted on Google![]()

We recently worked with Morgan Remodel LLC to update our outdated bathroom, and the results are fantastic. Our old setup had a clawfoot tub, a single vanity, and almost no storage. Mike and Jon completely reimagined the space, turning it into a modern, functional bathroom that feels twice as big. They were professional and transparent from start to finish, making sure every detail met our expectations. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Highly recommend Morgan Remodel to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled remodeling team.Posted on Google![]()

My wife and I recently used Jon and his crew for a full remodel of our bathroom. Jon was easy to communicate with and very patient in helping us select the right options for our new bathroom. We ended up going with the Onyx Collection for ease of maintenance. Morgan Remodel did an outstanding job with our new bathroom and we would highly recommend them. Jon's entire team is skilled, professional and very detail oriented. Our project came in on time and budget.Posted on Google![]()

Morgan Remodeling has the best team of Craftsmen I have ever worked with. They were on time, stayed on budget, and were very nice people. The quality of their work was outstanding!! I would Highly recommend them. I will certainly be a repeat customer. And they were able to straighten and level the floor of an addition to our home that was done years ago. It was built out of level 2 1/8”. Several other contractors said it could not be done. Micheal said that they could, and they did!! It looks amazing. Now I have hardwood flooring throughout my home. Thank you Micheal!!Posted on Google![]()

They took my DIY project I started to address some safety issues in my home and transformed it into my new favorite room in my house. They're very hands on with customers who like to hang out while they're working through the job, which is great. I really liked that they lidar scanned the room, and started with a 3d render of the imagined finished product. But above all, I most liked that they knew it was just a mock-up, and went with the flow when things cropped up around legitimate issues, as well as my personal taste while things were in flight. Not easy to pull off!Posted on Google![]()

John and his team helped us turn our tiny-feeling, outdated 1970s bathroom into a modern oasis. From start to finish they were attentive, on top of communication, and helped us stay within our budget without compromising on quality. From the plumber to the carpenters to the painters, everyone who worked on the project was top-notch and super conscientious. I would highly recommend them for home renovation projects. They will be the first people we call when we're ready to tackle our next project.
